Mayne Island Housing Task Force

Appointed by the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee, the Mayne Island Housing Options Task Force will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at the St Mary Magdalene Church House from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Any additions and changes to meetings will be posted on local bulletin boards five days in advance. The meetings are open to the public and time will be allocated on the agenda for public input.

The purpose of the Housing Options Task Force is to provide overall strategic advice to the Local Trust Committee on community housing. The task force objective is to identify land use requirements and issues related to addressing the present and future need for housing diversity on Mayne Island.

Community Public Meeting Notice

Date: Mon. May 16, 2011

Time: 1-3 pm

Location: Agricultural Hall

Purpose: The Mayne Island Housing Options Task Force will present their research findings about housing needs on Mayne Island and invite public input into recommendations to our Local Trust Committee.

The task force received 203 household survey responses which will be combined with other questionnaire, and interview information to identify current and future needs for housing diversity on Mayne Island.

“A Home on Mayne – Housing Needs Current and Future”

at the Ag Hall November 28th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. This event will be co-facilitated by Vicki Turay and Terrill Welch. Task Force members will all be actively involved with their ears perked for your salient contributions.
